I'm getting an error. It's happening on 2/3 rds of the files I'm attempting to scan.
Unable to calculate hash: J:\Surplus JPG Files 1\2008_04_20_MVI_4542_2a.jpg
I cannot find an explanation why this is happening.
Please advise.

Re: Unable to calculate hash issue
Which mode are you running? If Image mode, it's possible the file is unreadable/corrupt. Does the file open normally?

Are you using the Hash Tool?

Re: Unable to calculate hash issue
I am having a similar issue. In my case, I am running in audio mode. Some of the files that weren't working were corrupted, but some are fine. I am able to calculate the hash using the hash tool, so I don't have any ideas at this point.
Is there something else I can do?
Thanks

Re: Unable to calculate hash issue
And what issue was that, "Unable to calculate hash" ?
Hash Tool would calculate the hash of any file, regardless of type, so long as it can access the file.
Audio mode (& from what I can tell) video mode, do not generate a hash (to the user).
They only notify a user of files that compare (by various chosen means).
So tell us more about your issue.
Can you post somewhere a copy of said file with said issue?
