Okay a bit hard to explain but I have a lot of huge folders with lots in.
I wanna be able to put something in a mastger folder and then check all my big folders to where it comes from but I dont wanna have to re scan every time for each thing I wanna scan.
This goes for videos frams, and audio to check for videos and for pictures too
Not sure if this makes sense but I can explain more if I need
Can I make it so it doesnt need to re scan every time?

There is caching built in for the audio/video/picture content which should help, but not for metadata currently (metadata caching is in v6). Is it the metadata scanning that is causing the delay?

Not the OP, but for me it seems the most time is taken by Matching Duplicates (Image Mode). Reading Metadata is relatively fast.
I don't know how viable it would be, but if it were possible it'd be extremely handy if the program were capable of maintaining the last scan's search results and, on running a new scan, detect which files have been altered in each folder since that scan and then just rescan those plus any new ones. I suppose that can't really work if a new file needs to be checked against every other file in the drive you're scanning, though. But my folders continue to get more full and at this point it takes several hours for a scan that used to take about an hour several years ago.

meta data isnt too bad
Sometimes I feell like extracting video frames etc is fast and like saves but then its like starting from fresj some days and it takes all day
and matching sometimes takes a while too
