[Suggestion] Create a way to search in virtual folders

Sometimes, for various reasons, I want to search the files included in a virtual folder. An example of a case when I want to do this is when I expect a hash match for an included real file to the virtual folder content file but the match does not occur. I may want to search the virtual folder for the file to investigate clues as to why the hash doesn't match. But I am not aware of any way to do this.

Usually I want to search on the files name (or partial name) in the database of the virtual folder, but if it could be possible to add a little more sophisticated search tool that could search by other criteria as well such as date or size, etc. that would be even better (I'm not sure what data is included internally for DCs virtual folder content). The more sophisticated the search tool the better.

Alternatively if I could export the contents of the data in the virtual folder easily through DC, say to a .csv (preferable for this purpose) or .txt file, that would allow me to search using an external program.

Thank you for considering this!

You can view the files by adding the virtual folder to the scan, and setting 'Find duplicates' to 'No' and 'Find uniques' to yes. Run a scan in Regular mode to see the contents in the Unique files folder.

That is excellent! Never would have thought of it. Thanks again!
