Feature Request: Add support for JPEG XL (.jxl) format in Similar Image scan

I would like to request support for the JPEG XL (.jxl) image format in the “Similar Image Mode”. Currently, the supported formats include JPG, PNG, WEBP, HEIC, AVIF, etc., but JPEG XL is not yet included.
JPEG XL is a modern, royalty-free image format that offers superior compression, lossless/lossy options, HDR, animation, and better quality than older formats. It is gaining adoption in various tools and browsers, and many users (including myself) are starting to use .jxl files.
Adding .jxl support would greatly improve the software for users who work with next-generation image formats. Even basic decoding for similarity comparison (perceptual hash/fingerprint) would be very helpful.
