Saved profile migration

I did a preliminary search in the forum.
but i would like to know about issues related to migrating saved profiles from earliers versions to new ones.

i often get the following:

Error loading Profile: Conversion from string "False" to type 'Integer' is not valid.

is there an easy fix, such as editing the profile in text editor?

other pointers or ideas?

replying to my own post, adding actually.
well, did have a look at the xml file, realized that new features may have taken the "namespaces" of older features and collisions of meanings arise. i guess i'm only interested in my previous choices of folders, would there be a filter script somewherer to extract basic info from saved profiles (starting with folder, but more ambitiously, translating old flags)...

There's a bug with loading earlier profiles as of 4.1.0 - it'll be fixed in the next update 4.1.1

For now there's a workaround mentioned here-
