Identifying Non-Rendered Thumbnails?

I am not sure if this issue has been proposed previously or if it currently exists.

I have an SCAN CRITERIA issue where I would like to be able to SELECT Images and/or Video THUMBNAILS that ARE NOT RENDERING.

I believe there COULD be TWO opportunities to do this.

a.) Select inside SCAN CRITERIA (before the search)

or

b.) Select AFTER the scan is COMPLETE as an option when viewing as thumbnails.

Is this currently possible?

Or is this a FEATURE REQUEST?

I'm not sure what you mean by not rendering.

Is it:
-A problem with image file (ie corrupt - won't read normally)
-A problem with the embedded thumbnail in the image file (duplicate cleaner doesn't usually use this)
-A problem with the program not loading a thumbnail preview (they may be slow to load if you scroll down past lots of thumbnail previews)

It could be all three things you listed above.

All I know is that when i compare whether it's an image or a video file an THUMBNAIL image either APPEARS or it DOESN'T.

So this is binary. Either you see a preview of the picture or video file or you don't.

What I'm asking is when I use DCP5 to ELIMINATE DUPES I need an OPTION that SELECTS the files that are NOT producing a a preview thumbnail image. Why? Because, these files are files that DON'T work. They are bad files. They are corrupt for some reason and do not produce an image (photo) nor do they produce a video movie.

So, can DCP5 select files that are NOT producing a preview thumbnail image? YES or NO?
