Network

Post by bydand1897 »

Duplicate Cleaner Pro5 worked great until I installed a new Hard Drive and reinstalled the software.
DC finds all my drives and folders and works as it should, except with my network drive.
When I click on network it just shows a triangle and says nothing found.
I have reinstalled DC is there any other setting I can try.
Thanks for any help

What OS?

On my end, Win7, - running in Sandboxie (so that might have a bearing on what I see - I too see the "triangle" (& (Nothing found").
(Other machines here are 1 other Win7, & then 10's & 11's [& an XP].)

All that said, ever since 10 has entered the frame, there is no rhyme nor reason when or if a "network" may or may not show, nor "how" one may be able to access things (starting from the Win7 end).
As is... sometimes all "just works".
Then other times, I can no longer "browse" the network, while at the same time I can use a UNC path (\\sharename\C) to access network shares.
And yet, other times, nothing at all works.

If you are having trouble you can always try right-clicking the 'folders to search' list and clicking 'Select folder'. This will then show the Windows folder browser - you can try the network drives there.

Thanks for the answers so far but still cant get the network folder to open up.
I found I can get the network folders to show up in DC when I used map drive on the windows folder, then the network folders show up as X,Y and Z etc, I guess I can live with that, but would still prefer to be able to click on network in the available folders section in DC and select the folders to search from there
